A few months ago, the FC Barcelona School premiered a preinitiation course for football for the children of footballers or employees of the club azulgrana. Among these children were Thiago Messi, Benjamín Suárez and Milan Piqué. There they began their career in football with the methodology of Barcelona Club. To this trio, in the last weeks, has joined Davi Lucca, the son of Neymar JR.
The training sessions are held in the Mini Estadi's attached field every Monday and Thursday from 5pm to 6pm. Children have fun with various chasing games and other exercises to stimulate their learning. With ball, do the basics. The mythical control-pass that every child has passed even though they have not yet been seen to make the famous rounds, so characteristic in FC Barcelona methodology.
The trainings are closed to the general public and only the parents of the children participating in the training can access. Gerard Piqué, Antonella, wife of Messi and Sofia, wife of Suárez, do not miss even a training session. Leo Messi and Luis Suarez also appear on several occasions like Shakira. This Thursday appeared Neymar, accompanied by two of his friends, to witness the training and see Lucca training in the Barcelona shirt.
It is still too early to know if any of these small players can live football. At the moment, Benjamín Suárez is the most outstanding. The son of the Uruguayan has inherited the strength of his father and they say he is very savvy. Thiago Messi is more stationary and never separates from his friend Benjamin. From Milan Piqué his father has already told that he dominates all the rules of the game. He is very intelligent and knows the majority of professional soccer players. De Luc Lucca only knows his passion for sports like karate. Also, in training mode, he has been seen boxing in a video that hung on his Instagram.
Despite having the media focus placed on them, they are still children and what it is now their turn to enjoy and have fun. With the FC Barcelona School methodology, they are sure to get it.
